Poem about my green and white polka dot umbrella

Do you have anything, still, to remember me by

Today I stood facing a wall to close my umbrella
to protect its ribs from breaking in the wind

I remember us sitting undercover a bus stop canopy
I offered you to take my umbrella
you hesitated and decided not to
so it is with me, still

my green and white polka dot folding umbrella

It rained on the day we met,
and the day we said goodbye

  1. Engrossingly poignant. It arouses powerful emotions. Resurfaces memories of things that never even happened.
